I have 2 thoughts on giving your acct.# to a transaction company. 1) your credit card # is quicker to abuse for a fraudulent operator. That is why credit card companies lose billions of dollars in credit card fraud which they in turn find ways to charge both the merchant and consumer for to pass the buck(higher rates to the merchant and hidden fees to the consumer). 2) consumer debt has been hurting the economy and us in our daily lives since the inception of credit cards. Imagine what a better world this would be if it were not so easy to get and abuse a credit card. The gov. bailout wasn't free and it was all caused by consumer debt. Also, the penalty for check fraud is steeper than credit card fraud and more traceable. MyEcheck also touts a security certificate that is very attractive and increases it's marketability. To say Ed Starrs has it together is an understatement! Consumers worldwide are slowly starting to see the damage credit cards have done to society as a whole. The new american dream is simply to be out of debt!
