well i had a similar situation on governors island (concert venue in lower manhattan)last week, and the company had told me that they required that the name on the ticket match a state issue id, and so on. I got to the event and they didnt check. Checked craigslist and there are tickets for same in the SD area, and a few event mention security doesn't check the ids. I know companies say that, but imo after i purchase it from them its my money and ticket, i should be able to do as i please. If someone is willing to buy it at a higher price than face because its sold out, then they should. Stub Hub makes millions of people doing just that....
