Possible to verify this anecdote?

How would it be possible to know that this set of circumstances took place? Are there any photographs that you took while going from store to store, for example? Would you be willing to discuss the matter further to be able to verify?

I would be willing to talk over the telephone if you were willing to. That would settle my query, for example.
