channel is a very loosely defined term.

intel carries all the inventory at their authorized distributors on their own books. it isn't "sold" until the distributor sells it.

"channel stuffing" is therefore pretty impossible. even intel's small customers buy from intel's distributors. in the far east you can see them picking up supplies even on their bicycles after receiving an order for a system from a customer. that's real time order processing and inventory management.
