Is it also industry norm for a "research firm" to prepare a report w/o indicating their financial interest in the subject of the report and whether the firm was compensated for it? I'd say NO.

Do you know who Joe Safina is? Do you know his connection to IEG? Do you know how many shares he owns or owned? Do you know who Scott Pumper works for?

Again, the Socratic method seems to work best. Seek the knowledge you need. Don't rely on others to provide it.

After that, you need to read the report. I mean...really read it. Look at the multipliers that are used. Figure out how many shares will be O/S at 2018. Ask yourself how the analysts knows that RCP's ownership will never go below 40%.
