I attended the Messi & Friends event. I drove to Chicago, pulled off Lake Shore Drive, parked and my buddy and I scalped 2 tickets off a Spanish speaking guy for $10. I estimate that only 1/4th of Soldier Field was filled and it was a pretty nice evening weather wise. The crowd was mostly Mexican folks. I'd guess 80% Mexican crowd. I didn't see a single sign with MPIX on it so I have no idea how MPIX was suppose to benefit from it. I did see Número 5 stuff, Argentina tourism stuff, Hyatt Hotels, and ESPN, but no MPIX whatsoever. It's my opinion that MPIX must have paid Número 5 so they could use this event in MPIX PR pumps cuz I saw zero MPIX presence at Soldier Field. Went bar hopping on the Northside of Chicago afterward.......fun town and lots of hotties. IMO based on attendance, I'd bet Número 5 lost a lot of money.
