Scores ready to open $25M adult-themed complex in August in
Atlantic City in the Trump Taj Mahal.

The Electric Fantasy Club is the main entertainment room at Scores.

In about a month, the Atlantic City nightlife scene is about to change dramatically as Scores will open inside Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort to become the first adult-themed entertainment complex inside a casino-hotel in the United States.

Scores, which has clubs around the country, including the famous New York original that was once frequented and often talked about by Howard Stern and his crew, is unlike any exotic entertainment complex on the East Coast.

With a price tag of about $25 million and taking about two years to complete the 36,000-square-foot space, Scores is not your neighborhood strip club. In fact, it’s unlike any adult-themed complex that has ever been in a casino-hotel nationwide.

“This is an upscale gentleman’s club where women are wearing gowns, there is a dress code for customers and the entertainers look like they are coming from Glamour magazine,” says Managing Member Bob Gans, who says the club should open in early August. “Nothing has been done like this before inside a casino anywhere, and it’s the largest adult entertainment complex on the East Coast. It’s upscale, classy and sexy. It’s a game-changer for Atlantic City.”

Located on the second floor in a space formerly occupied by three restaurants, there are eight distinct areas, one more striking than the next.

The Electric Fantasy Club is the main showroom for Scores entertainers, where women wearing as little as pasties and G-strings will dance exotically on a main stage with four poles as a 16-by-10-foot seamless LED screen projects sexy images behind them. The dancers will be accompanied by a futuristic laser light show. With a purple, black, lavender and blue color scheme, Electric Fantasy will feature two VIP champagne areas, five private cabana-like areas and a main bar. The stage will allow seven women to perform at once, but there may be more than 100 female entertainers working at Scores for one shift.

Near Electric Fantasy will be The Spread, an intimate sports bar, and its adjacent Deck at Scores, an exclusive beachside day and nightclub experience. Dancing will also be occasionally offered in the sports bar, where there will be eight flat-screen TVs showing most sporting events. With a bar seating about a dozen people, banquettes and food including everything from burgers to wings to paninis, it will certainly be a great place to hang out.

The Deck at Scores is a 5,000-square-foot space with cabanas, hightop tables, a DJ booth, another bar, four more TVs, a heated firepit in the offseason and a spectacular view of the Boardwalk and ocean.

The Libertine Room offers a super-luxe, private celebrity and high-roller lounge with its own pole, televisions and upscale furniture in a posh, Elizabethan setting that will have a private elevator that leads right to its entrance.

The Distrikt, modeled after Amsterdan’s Red Light District, is a red-lit “fantasy corridor” with 13 private rooms capable of holding two to eight customers at once.

The Black Box Cabaret is a secondary but gorgeous club for female entertainers that will be often used for bachelor parties, private functions and more. With four poles, VIP section and a circular bar, it’s a very versatile space.

The Blue Velvet Theater will host the Real Men of Scores, an exciting male revue. With a VIP section, half oval bar and a pole, this will be where the bachelorettes can be found.

And Scores Collection Retail Store will sell lingerie, bathing suits, “sexy, fun things,” gowns, and Scores official merchandise.

Scores, which is owned by the same group that opened the scrumptious Robert’s Steakhouse inside the Taj Mahal last year, will be open every day, with hours fluctuating. However, it is expected to open as early as noon or early afternoon most days.

“Scores has something for everyone,” Gans says. “Sports guys will love it for the sports bar. Clubgoers and anyone who loves a beautiful view of the ocean and boardwalk will enjoy the deck, there’s programming that appeals to men and women and we’ll even have great food. No one has anything of this magnitude. It’s going to be quite amazing.”
