I would have assumed that buying VDSC by EOD on the 9th i would get divined but if I sell before the dividend is distributed that the buyer would get the didivend and not me. I don't see how they could force me to owe the dividend, but i do see where the dividend that would have been mine gets transferred to the new buyer if I sell before the distribution date.
