Some asked me why I was posting on this board. The answer is I looked here to see if I would put some money to work. So I did research, and posted what I found, and want comments from folks.

4k is designed to be played at 60 Hertz. This will require different HDMI cabling then currently is being used. HDMI 2.0 is supposed to solve the issue and be implemented in 2014. The current HDMI cables only allow for 4k at 30 Hertz. When HDMI 2.0 comes out, is when the content providers will deliver.

The content providers will also need a different codec to appear called H.265. It'll allow for data to stream more efficiently. Again, its coming, 2014 timeframe.

But what really got me, was the business of providing online content. The content acquisition cost is ridiculous because of Netflix and Hulu are in bidding wars. How is NTEK going to compete with that? Netflix has only a net profit of 1%, and they are the dominant online video provider. That is flat out sad.

It became to me quickly that NTEK will have to be a highly debt filled company just to make a scratch.

Then, the dagger came, when I looked around and saw that pretty much anyone I know who wants to see a movie or show just uses an app on their tablet from their existing cable or satellite provider. I have Xfinity, and watch shows I want right on my IPAD.

There may be patents here I am missing involved in the transmission of 4k files over the internet, but aside from that, I don't see any upside.

Any patent help here folks? What does NTEK have?
