It gets worse. The one remaining station, WGCH, is a 1000-watt radio station. So, its signal is weaker than most college radio stations.
Hmmm... Radio stations in obscure semi-rural areas, stations in urban areas with practically no power to reach the area. If one was attempting to construct a "radio network" on the cheap in order to make it look more impressive and important than it really was...
I'm pretty sure that the weak signal strength is also why the receiver has had such a hard time selling a station in what would be prime radio territory- if they had approval to broadcast at 25,000 watts.
