There are complication rates involved with every modality for surgery. Robotic complication rates are far lower than in open procedures or laparoscopic procedures for that matter. So the question is, why are these horror stories not making the news???

Answer: Because there is no multi-million dollar lawsuit to slap on the surgeon. It's MUCH easier to go after the high profile Industry Giant, 20 billion dollar, $500+ per share company if you're looking for a settlement. IMO

ISRG will soar to new heights in 2013 IMO. GLTA
