I started all of this banter by saying that I had heard a RUMOR of the possibility of a reverse split, after significant appreciation of the PPS because of good news, as a means of preparing for an up listing.

I repeat, I heard a rumor, third person at best, not from Kim T. or any other insider.
There truly is only One insider for business decisions - Kim Thompson.
I am not an insider nor do I have any inside knowledge nor any "secret source" of insider knowledge.

That said, I believe that for the right purpose, at the right time, a reverse split would be a positive thing.

It seems that the same persons who are decrying a reverse split have also said and continue to assert that KBLB has too many shares outstanding.
Obviously the one is a solution for the other, it seems to me to be difficult and/or disingenuous to argue both sides.

As far as my opinion of the forward split 3 years ago, I did not and do not see the absolute Need for it, but neither did it do any harm to the company or to the stock.
I suspect, without any corroboration or inside knowledge, that at that time Kim T. was optimistic that initial lab success was near (it was) and wanted the split to give the stock a bit more room to grow without becoming too expensive for some investors.
Had the FS not been done the PPS would have risen into the multi-dollar range, which might have made it less attractive as a High Risk investment.

Personally, when looking for highly speculative investments, I tend to avoid any with PPS above $30.
Many other investors might balk at a $2 or $3.
