To all MMXT/SCMI supporters:

As I mentioned to you last week I did visit SCMI last Thursday at 4pm. I spent an hour and a half with Peter AND Kevin Clement. Here are a few observations and some things I believe are OK to repeat:

* KC is young, well connected, smart, articulate and passionate about SCMI and the future. He was a lot of fun to talk to. He's a private pilot (like me) too.

* He talks to BMG's Mr. Hesse twice a day.

* SCMI has BMG's total support. BMG knew this "fight" was coming.
* They see a bright future in CD copy protection, but see even more potential in DVD's and other undiscussed areas too.
* S-4, merger, etc. all in early 1st quarter '06
* SHM scheduled for '06.
* They see at least one other DRM competitor, but believe entering this niche will not be easy for any company (and will scare away others). Especially since their every move and attempt at introducing a DRM product will be met with incredibly close examination.
* Everybody's upbeat and busy.

There's a lot more, but I'm not comfortable passing on any more at this time. I'll be back in Phoenix the first week in February for another visit, however, I fully expect announcements and other good news early in '06. Merry Christmas, Dan
