An example of this is some years back I was looking for devices that would save gas for my car. I was extra motivated because I was commuting to work that amounted to a 100 mile round trip and gas was $4 a gallon at the time.
The first items that I found led me to discover other things that I was unaware of.

Later on, I discovered an even easier way of saving fossil fuels.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that they found Stan Meyers dead of poisoning the day after he signed a contract with the Defense Department to make the military vehicles run on water.
