Agree that as an engineering exercise, Haswell is impressive, I just feel sad that the segment of the market I am in, is no longer a priority, and thus not being primarily addressed.

If the future holds significant IPC/single core increases in the next 3 to 4 years then I will be happy enough, otherwise I may end up holding onto my current desktop for what would have previously seemed an unimaginably long time.

However, as someone who is looking to buy their first laptop, on that front, Haswell excites me greatly and I like what I have been hearing about Silvermont(for a possible tablet purchase), so 2 out of 3 ain't bad. ;p
