I made plenty of mistakes when I started and learned the hard way.
I too was ok with my early losses because of the "tuition" rationale.
I agree 100%
Now, after 7 years, I'm much more comfortable waiting out my plays as long as I have one my DD.
I don't like holding reverse ETF's for more than a day or two as these have a very natural, built in, decay.
I'm more comfortable with playing market catalysts that I can predict will move the market in a green direction.
Still, I don't hold bull ETF's such as XIV for more than a few days at a time.
Fortunately, this rationale has paid off for me more often than not.
For these reasons, I held onto my 2,000 shares of XIV over the weekend as I expect the market to trend up for Monday and Tuesday.
Good luck to you.
