We'll see. Yes these problems have festered for along time. But how long can they continue without something big breaking ? I think not much longer. Things have gotten progressively worse as much of Europe is in recession. The banks are in dire shape and China's bubble may be difficult to bring down in an orderly way. Japan has not solve any of their problems either. Papering over them is not a solution...it only makes the final outcome much worse.
