So you associate change aversion with intelligence? As if resisting change makes you more knowledgeable or enlightened? I would have thought the opposite.

Or maybe you meant "intelligence" as in you believe yourself to be an intelligent man, and you have an opinion - therefore, people who share that opinion are also intelligent.

No, if that's the case, I think you're mistaking intelligence for ego.
