Not sure if this helps or hinders your case, but, I have a share certificate which I had to pay 50 bucks for through my broker in 2009. I am going to assume they are refering to those of us who requested and paid for the certificates.

I figure it is now up to me to mail in the certificate to my broker so that I can get the new MG shares.

Regardless, the statement makes perfect sense for those of us who are not day traders.
