What company pays 50% of it's profits as a dividend. Get real. If there are shorts and longs remain strong the price will go up as a matter of supply and demand. If this happens the the dividend will result in your having 10% more stock at a higher price. You can choose to sell the stock and receive your cash or not. Thi sway it's up to you and the company does not have to deplete it's treasury. If there are no shorts or shareholders get cold feet there will be little of no benefit.
