The company was selling off shares to naive buyers. That was the reason for the large volume. It's typical for huge volume after news since unsuspecting traders think it's going up so they buy. All that occurs is you're getting worthless shares. Notice how the volume was huge. Huge upswing in volume is another way to make people think it's gonna skyrocket. Then all of a sudden the volume disappears and continues dry for weeks until the dust settles and they do it all over again.
