"Beautiful" KDS
A year ago, I started following this Forum and intended to bring some positive expectations to the shareholders of FASC. I annouced that St-Malo was to install a KDS and show its performance to whoever wants to discover this "miracle" machine, as somme people like to call it.
Twelve months later, our group is still fighting for its financing of the whole project, but bankers would like us to cut the project in parts. We can't do much with wood dust unless we also buy a device to burn it as is (dust burner) or unless we get a pelletizer to densify the material and sell it on the market. So you also understand that we can't only buy a dust burner or a pelletizer without getting a KDS to condition the material in the first place!
But in the meantime, we keep promoting the advantages of the KDS and found our first buyer of the machine in the province of Quebec: the S6 will be delivered in ten weeks from now, and will process and dry hen manure into fertilizer.
The other good news for FASC shareholders are that two Quebec sawmillers are about to visit a specific U.S. installation of the KDS S8, before taking their decision to purchase the machine for pellet production. They need to see the machine operating, not the demo in Abbotsfordand, and they need to talk with the operators, not the vendor...
So I personnally got in touch with the operator of this KDS, for which there are no references on this website, and I understand that the company wants to keep the secret of the advantages of this equipment over its competitors. Since the market in Quebec isn't a competitor, we should be able to see and believe what the operator called himself a "beautiful" invention.
I'll keep you informed during the summer, both for these next sales and for the advancement of St-Malo's project.
