I am an Electrical Engineer and I design electrical and telecommunication infrastructure for many buildings, from labs to student accommodation. Even with the provision of wi-fi throughout buildings and campuses, the need for CAT 6A wired outlets is as prevalent as ever. Dorm rooms are now equiped with dedicated CAT 6A outlets just for video distribution from headend equipment in the telecom room, as well as a workstation for Voice of IP telephones and internet access.
It will be YEARS before its a wi-fi only infrastructure and by then it wont matter as NTEK will have 8k streaming capability with 100mbs wifi...
