Have you read the patent application?

Here is one example of what might be going wrong...

"A medium focal length lens is used to assure that any container contribution to the overall return spectrum is minimized relative to the sample spectrum. If the optics focal length is too short, then the sample container wall will be in focus or nearly so, and the container's photoelectric spectrum can dominate the return energy. If the optics focal length is too long, then the focus of the illuminating energy source falls outside the sample inside the container, and the substance of interest has a low probability of returning a useful spectrum."

In others words exact placement of the bag, vial or bottle is perhaps critical to the overall end result. So, if you look at the stunt box on the video it shows a vial bottle directly on top of the Laser, pointing the laser into the bottle. The bottle just sits there. An IV bag would not have the same placement, the bag is also flexible and would lay there differently each time. The bag would have labeling interference depending on placement. The syringe would also need exact placement.

This lends to the ability to demonstrate the machine with "canned" containers and placement schemes. So for those who have seen the moving chairs and heard the bumps under table during the Poteet table tipping will for sure say they have seen and heard the spirits, and believe! There's more problems far beyond that. These are the same techniques that CDEX has used to sell all of it' s so called products. Simple minded with check book required.
