Years back, i showed shares of a ticker change in my acct. It ran and i sold around 30k of what i held. The next day the shares were removed and i was 30k short even though i still held an additional 20k. The broker said the shares had not yet been delivered. It took a month and in the mean time the acct was frozen, the stock ran to well over $1, I was short over 30 grand and they wouldn't let me sell the remaining shares. After the shares were delived i sold the remainder at .75.
