I am curious how you see the VSUL scanner being used for Gas and Liquid identification. This is a tricky issue when you use light. The lightwaves have to bounce off the molecules without hitting anything else. The only way to to measure gas and liquids is to perform the scan with an absolute black background that does not reflect light. Otherwise, the reflected light includes the colors reflected from the container material.
