The market is not rational.

Everyone who doesn't agree with you is irrational? I've been firmly convinced that Apple has been overpriced for a long period of time. Investors have no idea why they own it besides the phones are cool and it used to have a higher price.

Apple is growing at 11.3% (and the rate of growth is slowing).

Google is growing at 31.2%

Other investors prefer fast-growing companies.

From the same pages:

Apple has 41.70 cash per share (less than 10% of the stock price) -- and the money is overseas and unusable without paying taxes.

Google has 151.00 cash per share (about 17% of the stock price) -- and they paid taxes on it and can use it however they wish.

I agree, image counts for quite a bit.
