Chas, like you I am very happy with where the stock is currently and the recent price action. While volume is usually good, volume at the hand of momentum traders is not always a good thing, so it is really nice to see them out for now.

I have liked the fact that DSS has been making higher "lows" over the last number of weeks and now each day the stock has been pretty hard to push down. When DSS recovered from the 2.45 area, I thought it would not trade there again and still very much do. Between the merger, a possibility of resolution with Novell and of course the Markman hearing in October, this stock has solid chance for significant upside ahead.

3 Things I am looking for in the short term:

1. Comments made by the company about potentially adding more defendants and see if that comes to fruition.
2 Looking to see if more big players are sitting on the sidelines till the merger is completed.
3. How the new management team handles taking over the at the helm (reading about current DSS management, not very impressed at all).

To me this remains short term and long term stock with the potentially to provide sizable returns in both time periods. The volume is coming.
