On June 3 the ship "Van Star", 200 meters long, 34 000 778 GRT, and flyig the Panama flag , arrived at API-1 public dock from Santa Rosalia, BCS. It achieved simultaneous operations, unloading 40,000 tons of gypsum, and 10,000 tons of coke import for Cemex plant in the town.

The operation is run by the helmsman Tramitadora Pacific and has an estimated duration of 13 days for unloading of material, with an average yield of 175 t / h, as the material is directly deposited into gondola-type trucks to be transported directly to the Cemex plant.

For the Port of Ensenad, this is the first operation in which mixed traffic loads on cabotage and height are handled simultaneously, confirming the growth and potential for handling different loads. It is also the first Cemex ship with these dimensions.

Also, in the spring, the 229 meter-long vessel "ILIA", was received at the EIT-2 Multipurpose Terminal. Flying the flag of Panama and 44 000 027 GRT, the Ilia made the first shipment in 2013, of 68 000 069 tons of iron ore to China.

Eight days later, the 185-meter SMOLENSK, flying the Marshall Islands flag, and 33 000 044 GRT, loaded 42,000 tons of scrap metal at the same dock, bound for China. The second shipment of the year, give EIT a total export of 83 000 954 tons to date.
