Hmmm interesting I have not seen this posted any where (could be just me)
"I dug up that LA Times Top 100 list and found that, indeed, they had listed Smartalk as #1 growth company in a list of 100 companies in the under $50-million revenue category. That's because their 1996 revenue had increased 3209% over 1995. I think two people started the company from scratch in 1994, and yes, phenomenally grew the company into what it is today.
The other thing I want to find out is what made the stock price peak at around $20 in January? "
So let's use your number of 20 (for round figures, not knowing exactly) and the stock runs to 36. I'm a happy camping INVESTOR, key word investor.. I said earlier that Buy and Hold wasn't a good idea there.
If shareholders watched that thing go from 36 to 2 (which I did not see that happened over night) all due respect, they have no business in the stock market. CDs is probably a better route for them. Like you posted T, the business grew to big to fast which happened to many. So all in all, to me this Smartalk story that some keep throwing out here, I say, "this dog don't hunt" when additional facts are thrown in the mix. Sorry for this being so long but thanks for your response T.
