I only meant by having a lid on the stock.... as in the combination of the market maker ( where if you buy 1,000 shares and the price goes up a penny and then you sell a hundred shares and it goes down that same penny... then another order for a 100 shares goes out and now you're down another penny. Thats just my amateur view of trading... I'm sure CP or others can go further.

Additionally... naked short selling... or if someone purchased shares after Black Monday and held onto them and can sell some off into the market now for other strategic reasons:

Strategic reason #1) In order to "continue" buying cheaper future call options.... so the money they lose selling the shares they could gain on the call option

Strategic reason #2) A BP "KNOWS" that they want Bavi... and seen Black Monday as an opportunity to grab shares and now hold down the price during negotiations. CP once mentioned months ago its possible that during the partnering talks, part of the agreement may be some type of formula ... tied into the price of the stock. Not for the entire agreement... but maybe for a portion... but this portion would greatly give a BP a better "final price" ... directly due to the selling of shares leading up to partnering talks. This is illegal... which is why when the proper authorities are notified, they can "easily" keep an eye out for signs of trading patterns that could be used for this purpose.

Again though... CP and others are more knowledgeable on this, I just know we're not trading at what we should be trading at.
