It's even simpler than that, actually.

Once you've uploaded the image to "My Image Gallery" and it appears to the left, the URL in the box under where it says "embed" can be copied and pasted directly into your post with no need to highlight it or click image.

You can do that with any image found on the internet by using the same bracketed 'chart' tags around the URL and removing the http:// at the beginning of the URL.
