As for lump, yes, I bought the lump all at once. Unlike how I enter with a swing trade, opening a long position is a personal decision, based on a complete look at the company & the stock. A swing position is only based on the stock. So, I hedge my entry. Different mind set.

As for me moving GTE's stock PPs, no I don't trade with large enough amounts to do that. I'm a little guy!! In height & over all cash portfolio value. But as you mentioned, The price has to come to me. I NEVER chase the price.

One of the hardest learned facts about a successful trade, most learn. There are just to many trades out there to let emotion suck you into a run. You can put that in your list of how to trade, NEVER chase a running stock!!!
