I agree that if AI is acheived it will probably be some sort of biotech patchwork. Of course, they're finding newer and newer, smaller and smaller ways of encoding info, so they may eventually be able to EXCEED our capacity. That will be interesting.

SO true. That's why I said we need to get a personal handle on this stuff. I suddenly pulled a blank on his name, but take the physicist who is confined to the wheelchair. He is one of the most brilliant minds ever, but had he had full range of motion what might have distracted him? Maybe he would have gotten into some kind of addictions, and been lost altogether. SO, the argument COULD be made, that even curing disease might have negative consequences. Personally, I'll take my chances on that one.

There ARE, however, quite a few women we could use some duplicates of. Just enough to go around. smile
