Cats,
One other thing. Scottrade would not allow me to make the IRA account a margin account so you need to abide by the 3 day funds settlement rules when buying and selling. I suspect this is due to a federal tax law on IRA accounts and that other brokages will not allow it either. I would be interested in knowing if any brokerage does allow an IRA account to be margined.
