School Kids Bus Monitoring / Tracking
SafeBus Technologies has developed a proprietary digital solution for tracking school kids riding buses and minivans to and from school. The digital solution utilizes iPad kiosks that are mounted on the bus near the driver, where the kids get on and off the bus. Custom software allows the bus driver to quickly check each kid on board, and there is added verification that time stamps the location and time when each school kid boards the bus.
Similarly, when the kids get off the bus, either at the school, or when returning home, the ipad checklist app allows the bus driver to quickly, accurately check each kid off the bus. The location and time of the school kid departing the bus is recorded.
At several times during the bus route, the recorded bus information, and all school kids who were on board that specific route, can be uploaded to the school district server, and to the cloud storage, where it can be held for up to several weeks, before discarding.
The SmartKiosk iCaddi enclosure, along with the pre-configured iPad, and SafeBus Checklist software, is offered to the school districts as a total enterprise solution, with ongoing monthly revenues paid to SafeBus, for technical support and software updates, etc.
The iCaddi enclosure is a proprietary design, with an easy-to-load mechanism to allow the iPad to be locked securely, and removed easily by the bus driver, if need be.
Many states are planning to mandate that schools put in place system solutions that keep track of students, and pre-K children, who ride the school bus every day to and from the school and their home. The market ( hardware plus software) is growing fast, and could be in excess of $1,000,000,000 in the US within the next five years.
