Interesting site on the outside. Naked shorting is a double edged sword. While it kills companies share prices, it is also a critical component in many an otc financing arrangement. In short (no pun), many of the companies that complain about it cannot obtain financing the old fashioned way thus have no choice but to bend over for the off shore friendlies. Thats why edig fell for it years ago. They evidently couldnt attract outside capital and had to submit to a death spiral deal all the while certain longs did whatever they could to convince others that it wasnt a dilutive arrangement.
