SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2003--NV Entertainment, a
wholly owned subsidiary of New Visual Corporation (OTCBB:NVEI) and Top
Secret Productions, LLC are pleased to announce that the company's
film Step Into Liquid has been accepted for competition in Robert De
Niro and Jane Rosenthal's prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, to be
held in New York City May 3rd to May 11th.
"We are eager to again present such a world-class line-up of
feature films in competition to share with New Yorkers and visitors
from around the globe," said Jane Rosenthal. "This year's selections
are created by extraordinary filmmakers who have proven their talents
on a variety of levels."
The film will compete for awards in the Documentary Feature
category, marking its first ever competition screening and a
tremendous opportunity to gain recognition before an audience of
entertainment press and feature film distributors. Current screen
times are slated for 9 p.m. on May 7, 2003 at United Artists 9 and
10:30 p.m. on May 9, 2003 at United Artists 4 in the Tribeca community
of Lower Manhattan.
The festival also marks another opportunity to prove the unique
ability of Step Into Liquid to reach and tap the emotions of a broad
array of audiences. It follows a series of preview screenings in Park
City and Santa Barbara and favorable reviews in Variety and Surfing
Magazine.
"At this stage in the sales process every endorsement of quality
helps," noted Ray Willenberg, Jr., Chairman of New Visual. "As we plan
for a summer release and continue our negotiations with distributors,
this kind of exposure gives us greater confidence in our film and its
prospects for all markets, particularly theatrical and DVD/home
video."
Noted New York Publicist Jeremy Walker recently described the film
with the following synopsis: "STEP INTO LIQUID (Documentary
Competition) -- While it's true that STEP INTO LIQUID, directed by
Dana Brown, the son of "The Endless Summer" director Bruce Brown, is
indeed the third "Endless Summer" movie, to say it's the most
exhilarating surfing movie ever still does not quite do it justice.
Like surfing culture itself, the film's scope encompasses the globe,
but it also delivers moments of real intimacy, finding surfing
enthusiasts in the most unlikely people and places. Powered by
extraordinary, award-caliber cinematography, STEP INTO LIQUID takes us
from the truly terrifying monstrous waves of Oahu's North Shore to the
Texas waters of the Gulf of Mexico (where the waves are created by
massive oil supertankers), to the shores of Ireland and Rapa Nui.
Along the way we discover unforgettable human stories, from a guy
who's surfed every single day for the last 27 years to a young man
just getting back in the water in spite of a surfing accident that's
left him paralyzed from the neck down. STEP INTO LIQUID is at once
profoundly moving and profoundly entertaining."

About Tribeca Film Festival

Created by Jane Rosenthal and Robert DeNiro, the mission of the
Tribeca Film Festival is to enable the international film community
and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining
the film festival experience. The Tribeca Film Festival was founded to
celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute
to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan. Last year's inaugural
festival was attended by more than 150,000 people, generated more than
$10.4 million in revenues for local Tribeca merchants, and featured
several up-and-coming filmmakers. The festival included juried
narrative, documentary and short film competitions; a Restored
Classics series; a Best of New York series curated by Martin Scorsese;
13 major panel discussions; an all-day Family Festival; and the
premieres of studio films Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the
Clones, About A Boy, Insomnia, and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya
Sisterhood. Synopses of the feature-length films in competition this
year can be viewed in the press section of the Tribeca Film Festival
