I don't have much faith in man as a species we have not made smart decisions. We have within us the ability to make this earth a true heaven yet with man's inhumanity to man we have made this place a living hell for many of our inhabitants. Unless as a culture we change I suspect it won't be global warming or any of those issues but nuclear annihilation that will eventually do us in. We have too many people (over 7 billion) and that will cause a fight over limited resources along with to many countries putting their interests above everyone else.
