I actually had an interesting discussion about this abstract with a friend of mine that has to be one of the leading experts anywhere at interpreting studies like this. He is always cautious about studies with a low absolute number of events (less than 100) even if they are stat sig - he says it is those studies that often turn out to be not reproducible. His prediction here is that the HR will be lower in a second study.
