Capital Gains tax question..
When talking about capital gains tax, do you pay taxes on the total profit you made in your brokerage account, or do you pay for each trade that you made a profit on. What I am saying is that I am negative for the year, but have made profits on some and lost on some. Will I have to pay on those that I made profits on even though I am negative overall?
