I understood that the biggest problem that we all are facing it is uncertainty about FNMA future-may be I'm too naive but I think if Fed wanted to eliminate Fannie at all and do all mortgages with FHA
or something different they needed to do this in 2008 by buying all common and preferred shares when they were cheap.
If they want to do this now they have to do the same way as other company doing-by buying all stocks paying shareholders according to share price and as we know sometimes with bonuses.
I was surprised that Fannie is trading in Germany too so if FED will do something different it will be not just USA case but INTERNTIONAL. Do we have any lawyer here to explain if I'm wrong.
