Intel gets 3 bids for building Fab 28

Baran, Bateman and a Turkish contractor have bid for NIS 600 million project.

Baran Group (TASE:BRAN; OTCBB:BRANF), Bateman Engineering NV (AIM:BTE), and a Turkish contractor have bid in Intel Corporation’s (Nasdaq:INTC) tender for construction of the 70,000-sq.m. office section of its Fab 28 in Kiryat Gat. The project is estimated at NIS 600 million. Intel is investing $4.2 billion in the new Fab.
Bateman Engineering proposes that Shikun Ovdim Ltd. subsidiary Solel Boneh Building and Infrastructures Ltd. carry out actual construction. Baran is now carrying out part of the work for Intel’s upgrade of Fab 18 in Kiryat Gat, together with a German company.
