Before I was born and up to about age 8 my dad and three of his colleagues took a yearly wilderness canoe trip for a week or so. He stopped as I grew older and never took me. I still have his canoe.

Anyway we had a nice discussion today about B&M bread and cannned bacon. I had sent him your Amazon link. He was quite pleased to hear they still exist and agreed with you that they have a long shelf life even after being opened though that was four young guys in the woods. I bet they ate it pretty quick. Back in the 50s you could still bring cans into the Boundary Waters.

Anonymous sent me a link to a company that sells plastic lids for all sizes of cans. That would make storage very easy. If I find that link I will re-post it. Know I have it, just not where.
