Nope, life wouldn't go on as is. Families might have to divide their McMansions into 3 apartment units, and 9 year old kids will have to give up their smart phones, and teens won't have 5 pair of $300 athletic shoes. Each family will have only one car and maybe only 1 paying job per family. We'll have austerity and we'll make-do, but in many ways, life will be more REAL than it is now.
