From allstocks, this is SAM, a member who has subscribed to QTN via San Diego. Here are his posts about the programming for the night. I have to say it is good to see something different becuase we now have skunks, doublek, imakmoney (allstocks) SAM(allstocks) and if i am correct 2 Ragingbull posters have QTN. Plus Thunder on here is going to be subscribing in Houston.

Keep in mind that I don’t normally watch QTN closely as I have to do other things and don’t want to bother my family by having it on all the time—so my answers are not exact.

1. The number of commercial breaks per hour varies greatly. During their live programming, there are not very many at all, but during the shows that they are probably getting from other sources like the fight show, there are about two commercials every 15 minutes. I get the feeling that those commercials come with the show and may not be making any money for QTN.

2. They transition from show to show like any other station would. They have public service announcements and advertisements for their shows like On Q Live, Jack E Jett, and Q on the Move. They also have short station identification bits where they show a couple of girls kissing and the big gold Q logo and a statement saying you are watching Q Television Network (or something close to that).

3. I did not see any problems with the picture last night; there is a good chance that problem is fixed. The sound problems I noted earlier were only with specific programs and in my opinion (I’m a technical type) the sound problems were production problems, not anything associated with Cox; I suspect that those problems will still be present in some of their shows. The sound on their main live shows done in the studio was fine. I suspect the problems could have been associated with filming on location.

4. I have seen parts of On Topic, On Q Live, Q on the Move, QTN World News, Odysseys & Ovations (sound out of sync), and the Concrete Jungle.

Hope this helps…

I watched that show last night and I sure don’t agree with doublek’s assessment of Jack E Jett. He is way too liberal and way to obnoxious for me!

That just goes to show you, my assessment of the programming may not be that great; I am very critical (have very high standards—ok, I’m a real butthole sometimes) and I am also pretty conservative in my thinking. Jack E Jett is so far to the left, he’s about to fall off the scale and most of what he said was just plain stupid.

This is only my opinion, and I’m sure that lots of people like him… But I don’t.
