Priorities for 2013

The Foundation is focusing its efforts on:
-Understanding several key challenges to neurotrophic factor therapy, including the interaction between neurotrophic factors and alpha-synuclein
-Identifying novel neurotrophic factors that may work better than those currently being developed
-Identifying noninvasive approaches to delivering neurotrophic factors to the brain

Regarding Ceregene:
A positive result today could not only lead to another trial or even market approval for a trophic factor-based treatment - encouraging data could also invigorate the field to innovate alternate delivery methods for trophic factors, as well as continue to seek new trophic factors that may show even better therapeutic effect.
