U.S. stocks were trading lower Monday, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average recently lost 12 points to 15343, the Standard & Poor's 500-stock index lost one point to 1667, and the Nasdaq Composite was down five points to 3494. Among the companies with shares actively trading in Monday's session are JA Solar Holdings Co. (JASO), Websense Inc. (WBSN) and Acquity Group Ltd. (AQ). Solar stocks are surging in the wake of panel maker JA Solar's ($8.31, +$2.70, +48.13%) first-quarter report, likely the result of interplay between shorts, high-frequency traders now taking advantage of relatively positive news from one solar firm and routine volatility among the sector's shares, Raymond James's Pavel Molchanov told Dow Jones. "This junk rally is not abnormal." As JA Solar soared to a 14-month high, First Solar Inc. (FSLR, $54.44, +$4.46, +8.92%) led the S&P 500 with its 8.5% increase, putting the year's gain at 76%. Even Suntech Power Holdings Co. (STP, $0.81, +$0.15, +22.59%), which is in bankruptcy, jumped. Websense ($24.74, +$5.51, +28.63%) has agreed to be acquired by Vista Equity Partners. Websense stockholders will receive $24.75 in cash for each share of Websense common stock, a 29% premium over Friday's closing price. Websense makes software and services designed to help protect companies against cyberattacks and data theft. Accenture PLC (ACN, $82.64, +$0.40, +0.49%) has agreed to purchase Acquity ($12.81, +$6.85, +114.93%) for about $316 million in cash to expand the consulting company's digital marketing services. Accenture will pay $13 for each Acquity American depositary share, more than double the company's closing price of $5.96 on Friday. Actavis Inc. (ACT, $129.06, +$3.56, +2.84%) agreed to acquire Warner Chilcott PLC (WCRX, $19.87, +$0.66, +3.44%) in a stock swap, coming 10 days after the companies confirmed they were in early talks about a potential deal. Drug maker Actavis said it will swap 0.16 of a share for each Warner Chilcott share, valuing Warner Chilcott at about $20.08 a share, a 4.5% premium to Friday's close.
