General and administrative expenses


General and administrative expenses increased by $608,964 for the three months ended March 31, 2013, compared to the same period in 2012. The increase in general and administrative expenses was primarily due to increases in staff and related cost for the Company’s development of international operations of approximately $295,000 compared to $178,000 for the same period in 2012. In addition, the increases were due to the staff and related cost for the Company’s development of an environmental group of approximately $45,000 compared to $0 for the same period in 2012, which operation discontinued in April 2013, and the expenses related to the Houston office and ESP Facilities and Pipeline Service business compared to the same period in 2012.
