The much more expensive option has a crappy 1366x768 screen vs. 1920x1200 on the cheap Android-book.

I'd much rather have a Bay-Trail vs. Core-i3 if it meant I could trade-off the performance and put those cost savings towards a higher-res screen.

I'd imagine that Bay-Trail can run MS-Office just as well as Haswell...
How will Intel manage this? The absolute margin dollars are much lower on Bay-Trail vs. Haswell and you get full software compatibility with good-enough processor performance.

Will Intel re-invent the cripple-book (a.k.a. netbook) with Bay-Trail to differentiate between Core and Atom? This time around, it will be a tougher sell as ARM-based Android/Chrome alternatives will be competing with better system features (like high-res screens).
